UCSD Acceptance

@briansays

I was getting really worried when i saw that message from ucsd. I feel better now thanks. And rejection letters are at the end correct?

@Itsmashed: Another Geophysics major? Hey, me too! Wow, I literally thought I was the only one. LOL.

@dowork
Thats what i was told by someone that was on this forum last year when he/she transferred. He/she said that no one found out if they were rejected until the very last day or batch.

Thanks for the info, briansays. Did you happen to also find out how often they release batches? (I corresponded with admissions and they were so vague with me, saying “decisions are released until the end of April.”)

to tell you the truth, i do not know a lot more than you guys do. I’m not sure about batches but it seems like every 2 weeks? since its been about 2 weeks since the last one and we are anticipating one pretty soon…

This is such a huge deal for me. I wanna go to UCSD so bad. I only have a 3.1. If i dont get in, its my own fault for getting a **** gpa. Everyday this year ive been surfing training for the UCSD surf team. The only other college i applied to was UC Davis, i have a tag. I dont even like davis haha. I know i was talking about how we will all probebly get in with a 3.1 and up because everyone last year did with a 3.0. But im not sure anymore:/ 2day was the first day i thought i was rejected when i couldnt log into the orientation link. Bros im nervous.

dont worry son, youll get in.

@ doworkson: Don’t worry bud you’ll get in. You’re safe with a 3.1 don’t let the anxiety get to you. Stay focused on your current classes…clear out the semester with at least B’s and you’ll be golden.

With TAG you’ve already been accepted they just haven’t told you yet.

I dont have a tag for UCSD, only for UCD. I needed the math class done in the fall. Im taking the math class in the spring. My dumb stupied counselor never told me. Anyone who gets into UCSD is getting an amazing opportunity for sure.

I’m so worried right I can even load the admission page it says that explorer can’t display the page.

I am transfering from a community college with tag. My current gpa at Mesa is 3.91, and with 3 classes computed in from high school (high school was done in switzerland 5 years ago) I have a 3.71, but I’m not sure if UCSD will count the high school grades.

I’m really nervous as I only applied to UCSD and SDSU and I don’t want to go to state.

Hey! A fellow San Diegan! Yeah, go to UCSD (over State) ;)

Yeah F* state come hang with me in Warren

Well I will go to UCSD if I get in lol!

What do you mean IF you get in?

This cracks me up when people with tag and high gpas think they might not get in. I dont have TAG for this fall but I will for next fall and I know basically after this summer I am guranteed in for fall 2011 and I aint gonna be worrrying about it.

Marshall College! Yeeh.

We should establish a CC shindig at Porter’s Pub when we all get in!

@ Predict: I’m down

@ lbc: It is kinda ludicrous but I was the same way. I never said “when”…it was always “well I’m supposed to be guaranteed”…but there’s always the nagging voice that makes you wonder if you forgot a req…didn’t file something right…etc

Reading a letter from the school confirming admission is simply affirmation that you did everything right. I’m sure some TAG people are a little nervous to hear which college and major they got too though…

^agreed. Teeeeeenchaaaaar.

^times 2

tenchar.

UGH. is anyone else still waiting on UCSD??!?!
