I sent in a request to change college at UCSD. I was admitted to Sixth College and would rather go to Marshall, Muir our Warren. Is there anyone who would be willing to send an e mail to UCSD to request a college transfer to Sixth (if you were admitted to Marshall, Muir or Warren?).

I have an email template ready so you would not even have to write the email.

Thanks in advance,

What exactly don’t you like about sixth college? If it is based on GEs or something, then I guess that is reasonable (even though sixth GEs aren’t bad at all), but if you’re basing this off all the shi-t-alk about sixth on CC, then that’s just stupid. I was admitted to sixth as my fourth choice, and at first, yeah i was bummed as hell cuz all i knew was that ppl bag on it a lot for sucking, etc. But everything they say about it is like, totally not true.

All I’m gonna say is it’s where the party people at.

it’s because of the GE requirements

Dude changing college at UCSD is nearly impossible lol. Just learn to love your college, I’m sure when you go settle there you wouldn’t imagine yourself anywhere else. really you haven’t even been there yet, why not give it a chance!

I don’t have the exact text, but to change colleges at UCSD, you have to find someone who is willing to trade spots with you, graduate two quarters early, write an essay convincing them how changing colleges will help you graduate early, etc… it’s not worth the effort! I didn’t get into my first choice either (Muir), but I’m sure I’ll be happy at ERC haha :D

It will be impossible really (and there might be a little chance if you can prove to them that you can graduate faster if you switch to another college).

However you might be lucky. I heard that emails are sent to some freshmen telling them that UCSD wants to switch them out from their original colleges to Marshall. Most of these students are from Warren and Muir though – most likely, there are too many student in these two colleges already. I’m not sure if they have sent those emails to anyone in Sixth.
