Is it really that good?.. I got in for Bioengineering (Biotechnology) but like most of the rankings online are for the bioengineering/biomedical engineering... I've not heard much about the biotech... Also, how hard/easy is it to find research/internships/job opportunitiess in biotech in the area? Would the biotech at ucsd be better if i do the BS/MS thingy... and how easy/hard would it be to break into that program? Am i gonna work my head off at ucsd bioengineering..?... wow lots of questions.. anyways.. i appreciate any answers. THANKS

I hear it's good. But you should be willing to put into the time and the effort - it's a tough major. la jolla is a good area for biotech jobs, so i wouldn't worry much. bs/ms degree, depending on your career goals, i know there's a gpa requirement and people seems to fight for those spots in the bioE dept (i know it's a lot easier for bio majors to do bs/ms)
