Hi,everybody. I found an interesting new on Ms.Sun’s admission blog(here is the link: http://askmssun.livejournal.com) Posted on 5:46 pm, March 15th, she says that " UCSD Fall 2014 decisions are available online now at Login. The website is down intermittently, probably due to heavy traffic, so try back to tomorrow if you can’t get through." What exactly she means? Decision are made out on the website again?

Hi everyone…
I managed to log in earlier, and I got the page saying I was admitted. Now when I log in, it says the app is being reviewed.
I know it’s been hard to say with the site today, but do you think that I was accepted?

@bobcatfan

I don’t think decisions are going to be on the website until at least tomorrow and we’re not even sure about that.

@Base26 Yes you were (:

yeah mine doesnt say “system unavailable” anymore but the decission isnt posted yet.

Come on UCSD…

@Base26 I would hate to speculate one way or the other, but I do know that my daughter got the phone call that she was accepted, and that when I was able to login it says “still under review.” I’m sorry this is causing so much anxiety for everyone and wish you all good luck.

@mrssoffel: I’m in the same situation as your daughter but as long as we got the phone call, I’m sure both of us were accepted! :)

I probably got rejected, but after all this I certainly don’t have a great impression of UCSD, and even if somehow I get in I might not consider going. Seriously, this is very indicative of how much UCSD really cares about us! They’re leaving us in dark about such a simple matter, imagine what’s going to happen when we are at UCSD…

I’m sorry but judging a school based on how well their admissions process works (or doesn’t) is stupid.

UCSD needs to get your **** together, PLEASE.

Hey don’t call me out here. A school like UCSD should most definitely have a better way of relaying their admissions status to their students. So why don’t they? I don’t see why I can’t judge UCSD based on this.

I’m with you @collegeamateur

I’m with you @collegeamateur @thetavixx

For a school known for their Eng’g and Computer Science, this is embarassing. 30,000 - 70,000 users and can’t handle it?

Are decisions still not up? Geez. What could be taking them so long? I’m sorry, guys–Hang in there!

Maybe UCSD should consider emailing their decisions as well as releasing them on the portal the way UCD did yesterday. That’d be a huge stress reliever.

This is nothing like what happened with another school my daughter applied to. They had a big snafu like this - only they promised rejection emails would go out at a certain time and that acceptance packets were in the mail. Those who didn’t get rejection emails thought they were safe and waited for their packets, only to later get rejection emails. Everyone was in limbo for weeks. At least UCSD does initially post results on their website.

While we’re here, can everyone who has UCSD as a top choice, tell me how it compares to other So Call schools? We are out of state and have never seen the campus. My daughter has been accepted at LMU and is also applying to Chapman and USC. She has spent time on all of those campuses. Would you pick UCSD over any of these schools? Also, if anyone has any info on the UCSD theater department, I’d appreciate it!

We should ask Obama to fix this and get his administration to work on the website . Oh wait, the Obama care website is down as well. Oh well…
