I thought UCs don’t work on the weekends? Unless they inputted an automatic timer thing to release every decision today then maybe today it is.
An interesting read- guilty as charged!
I truly believe that parents should be banned or at least segregated from the greater CC community. It’s not your admissions process, it’s your child’s. You shouldn’t be posting their SAT/ACT/GPA/ECs all over the internet without their consent, you shouldn’t be asking questions on their behalf, you shouldn’t be parading around there like you know everything.
The parents on there forget that this isn’t about them, it’s about their children, and every time I see parents posting things on behalf of their children it makes my blood boil a bit on the inside. If your child doesn’t want to be involved in that community, don’t take it upon yourself to get involved for them.
The portal still says applications will be posted by the end of March so I don’t think it’s going to come out today. Also in past years, have they ever released decisions on the weekend?
Tbh, I think they releasing decisions on March 16. Idek why they changed their release date this year. It should’ve been consistent with previous years.
You don’t think they will release this Monday or Tuesday?
I am relying on Ms. Sun website. Earlier last week, she posted that UC Davis will release their decisions on March 13. But then she changed it to March 9 this week.
Same with UCSD. It was previously written that it would be posted on March 9, but then it got changed to March 16 on her website based on crowdsourced info.
They would only release it this weekend if they would work overtime due to 100,000+ applicants applied this year to get it done, but i highly doubt that would happen.
Let’s just say Cali population is wayyy too high
@ozzozzo agreed. i’m really grateful that i, the student, am in charge of posting my scores and decisions on this website because it’s my future, not my parents’.
So UCLA and UCSD may come out on the same day?
@collegedreamer167 Apparently
But then there’s peeps saying that it might be released on March 23 cuz the calling campaign starts on March 19 and decisions are usually released at the end of the campaign. I highly doubt this will be the case.
@ozzozzo seriously couldn’t agree more. preach
Hey everyone, I am from the UCSD transfer thread. I know acceptances were sent out on the 10th last year, but I believe it will be the 16th. The calling campaign did not start last year until the 13th (link where I found this info below), so there is a chance that the calling campaign starts after decisions are let out

@skyinthesky I agree with you
Also, 2016 admission decisions came out on the 11th and the calling campaign started on the 14th
It seems to me that the calling campaign starts 3 days after acceptances are sent out.
@skyinthesky I was part of the calling campaign last year (as part of Regents calling campaign) and I was calling Monday and Tuesday during the week of March 9. Also, from my own admission, I was called before RD decisions came out (scholarship student).
Alumni calling campaign and current student calling campaign have separate dates. One can definitely be before the other but you shouldn’t base just that websites’ dates because last year the alumni campaign started after the current student one, but this year the alumni one is starting before.
Can anyone chance me please?
Major: Econ
UC GPA 4.1
32 ACT (33E 31M 35R 27S)
5 APs
Over 200 hours of service
Three varsity sports
I felt very good about my essays (easy 8.5/10)
After getting waitlisted by Davis, I’m a little worried about the other mid/top tier UCs.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you
Well, if you are lucky enough to have caring parents, and lucky enough to have ones that are working 60 hours a week to pay for your college then I think being grateful is the response you should be giving. You have no idea if a kid gave their okay to have their stats anywhere. You don’t know anything about the kid actually. I find it so sad that appreciation is that hard to give. Is the site called college kids only or is it college confidential? That’s what I thought. SMH. Let’s get back to talking about the college instead of talking bad about parents who actually care about their children.
Can everyone chill and get back to frantically panicking about the decision and not about the members of the discussion? OMG xD
