I think u mean j678jgpo I don’t post
Remember that regardless on what happens in the next month, your college admissions do not define you. Sure, it sucks at first, I’ve been there. Pick yourself up and live your best life. Community college is not bad at all. My friend got into 0 colleges and was devastated, but she picked herself up and is thriving at community. You can always transfer after completing your GEs, nothing wrong with that and saves you money.
I mean, this past week has been a bit crazy with the scandals, and all colleges are probably shook. and the UCs most likely have received more applications than last year - probably way more than they predicted, and it’s taking them a while to evaluate them all. It’s likely gonna be another week, so take it easy and try not to get too stressed!! it’ll be hard but we’ll all know sooner or later :,)
hey folks, one year ago today it was bloody Friday for my kid - waitlisted at UCSD and rejected at UCLA within 2 hours of each other, and then waitlisted at UCI another 72 hours later. So don’t feel too bad that no results came out today, at least your weekend won’t be spoiled lol.
@ProfessorPlum168 Eventually our weekend will be spoiled lol… just not this weekend :))
@peachgirl true ? looks like the sad weekend is going to be next weekend.
The good news is if you’ve got really good stats (and I’ll assume all of you do), it’s highly unlikely you’ll get shut out of all the top 6 UCs. To wit, my kid had a very pedestrian GPA (4.05 UC weighted capped) and despite the bloody weekend with UCSD/UCLA/UCI, he still got accepted to UCD and UCSB and the big prize UCB. So stay optimistic, things will work out for all of you. In the meantime enjoy the weekend!
@ProfessorPlum168 what was his SAT or ACT?
What did his profile look like ?
In case anyone wants my stats to compare:
UC GPA: 3.96
SAT: 1450, 18 essay
ACT: 31, 8 essay
ECs: Band - All 4 years of HS, section leader for 1 year
CSF - Life Member
Essays were decent

In state or out of state j678?
In state, San Diego local
He was apply for CS at all schools which is very difficult to get into at UCSD and almost impossible at UCLA.
UC unweighted: 3.76 (or 3.73 not quite sure)
UC weighted capped: 4.05
UC weighted uncapped 4.52 (or 4.49 not sure)
SAT: 1540 (740 EBRW 800 Math), 22 essay
ACT: 35, 9 essay
10.5 APs
Pretty good ECs, would have been better if some of his middle school activities could be included lol
Decent essays, a lot of passive sentences I noticed. As a NorCal guy I think his essays focused a lot on stuff he did up here which may have turned off some of the AOs for the SoCal schools.
Someone chance me lol

@lilyfullford I think your odds are quite good. Probably 80% chance.
Hey did anyone else get an email to send UCSD their midyear reports? Is this a normal thing? (Sent back in January)
I got a 1340 SAT. 4.48 UC GPA. SAT subject test Math 2 - 680. More than 15 AP classes. Don’t know if my rank matters but I am salutatorian of my school.

Somebody pls tell me how my chances are looking!
How are my chances looking if I am out of state with 4.27 UC GPA, 32 ACT, and total of 10 APs?
@collegebound2023 I’d say your looking good, but however, your SAT scores does raise some eyebrows given your GPA. But, given your ECs, you should theoretically be accepted.
