@SoCalPops: UCSD has an early calling campaign targeting Regents Scholars, Chancellor’s Associates Scholars, historically underrepresented students, and top admits based on their academic profile.
what’s your act?
@RoboticsWidow Thanks so much! I think it is more stressful for us parents than it is for the kids - their generation is far more “zen” I am just sitting here thinking of ways I can gently nudge VT Admissions in the right direction LOL. Probably will try to reach out in early April to gain some insight on the situation. By then most accepted kids should have their minds made up, and colleges should start estimating their yields and looking at wait lists… Last year they offered ~1800 spots, this year - who knows…
So is San Diego coming out on Friday, because I had to deal with being rejected by Santa Barbara, and I was ironically accepted to Davis, and I am a bit anxious?
What’s your gpa and act/sat??
If y’all haven’t received a call, don’t stress. I didn’t receive a call last year but I was admitted. It just means you have to wait longer.
@teambyerline, I did edit the post you reported. And as I said before, you need to report posts you believe violate the Terms of Service.
@Gumbymom - so have Regents and Jacobs scholars been notified already?
@chucko: Since until today, no one has posted that they received a phone acceptance, I am assuming they have just started the Early Calling campaign and more students will be hearing as they get home from school today and throughout the week.
Thanks
I understand that few people get these calls, but who do they come from? The administration, alumni, current students? Thanks!
That’s great! Did she also get the email notice at the same time? Or just a call? Is she Regents? Or, just regular acceptance? Sorry, my D is going crazy waiting too!
Can Out of State students receive a call as well?
Any updates on the ICSD Portal?
Who calls? Someone from admissions? Is it a congrats call? And do they leave a message if you dont answer?
Does one UC know what other UCs a student has applied to? Theoretically they could, since you apply through one system. But do they?
D is an OOS applicant, as far as she knows she’s receiving no merit
What did they say during the call?
Hey can someone post the link to login to the applicant portal? I can’t find it for some reason
