<p>you're going to do more classes (lower division) when you get there. All of the colleges require more classes except for Earl Warren. You have to take the Revelle writing class (I'm 99% sure about this) and some other GE's. You need to take 5 humanities courses.</p>

<p>hahaha. i have no idea. but i'm gonna bet "no." i'm gonna check my TAG page, they tell you what classes you need to take, despite TAG.</p>

<p>For making your core selection E, 2 semesters or 3 quarters worth of calculus (which you have), have ONE course of biology and a total of 3 semester/4 quarters worth of physics and chemistry (at least one course from each subject).
Additional course: one course in music, art, dance or theatre (probably done at you CC).
Additional course: 2 or 3 courses completed for a different major (not econ).
Additional course: Complete 3rd semester or 4th quarter level of foreign language at your community college.</p>
<p>Or, if not completed at your CC. You need to take a 4th quarter for your foreign language or pass the UCSD language exam.</p>
<p>Just found out I got accepted by UCSD. 3.87 GPA physics from UCSC (GE's/ prereq's completed by spring).

<p>It's driving me crazy now that I've learned that others are getting decisions, and I haven't heard anything. I only applied to 5 UCs and I'm really scared that I won't get into any.</p>
<p>My major is physics and my GPA was somewhere around 3.4, I already completed all the "pre-reqs" and will have IGETC completed by the end of this spring. I'm not a good writer and I was pretty clueless on what to do for the essays so I know mine weren't good.</p>
<p>This is already my 3rd year at CCC, and if I don't get accepted I'll have to go for a fourth year to take speech so that I can try at the CSUs.</p>
<p>The reason why I'm hoping for UCSD is I have some relatives that live near there who can help me find a place to live, and I think it would be good to know someone in the area in case I ever need help later. I also have a friend who goes there, but we haven't talked much since high school so I don't know if that means anything.</p>

<p>No, this is my first time applying. I have a hard time with english classes and I wasn't able to complete the 2 required classes in time to apply last year. But in retrospect that may have been best, as going for a third year is allowing me to complete IGETC which will make things easier for me in the long run. Also, I work as a tutor at a middle school, and I've met some really awesome kids there this year. Knowing this, I'm actually happy that I wasn't able to transfer, as I wouldn't have had the opportunity to work with them.</p>
<p>Aw, that's awesome..Well I think you will get into a UC. You completed IGETC, you gpa is pretty competitive, and you volunteer. You should be fine. I think maybe the only thing holding you back is being a senior yr transfer, but that's it. Again, like I said I'll be pullin for you. btw, what other UC's did you apply to?</p>

<p>i don't think eirenarch is a senior year transfer. despite having been at a CC for 3 years, he'll still transfer as a junior. this is what generally happens.</p>

<p>yeah, i can't get on the UCSD website, it's always like this at this time. nothing from UCD... not a big surprise.</p>
<p>I got this statement from website saying:"We received about 10000 applicants and we accpeted around 1600applicants" that's pretty low 16percent only? i thought it was higher hmm... this statement definately makes me feel good.. accomplishment!</p>
