still waiting
Only two weeks left in April. So soon… I guess ha.
This Friday to be exact @AAMP31B
@csayala93 orly, where is this news coming from? I haven’t managed to scrounge up any new information at all :(.
@AAMP31B this thread is dead. The discussion is happening here:http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/1730020-uc-san-diego-fall-2015-transfer-thread.html#latest
Does anyone know what is "good"housing message on UCSD website and what is bad one?
Mine is "The Housing Office currently does not have updated information on your Admission Status and therefore cannot accept a housing application today. You may come back to this link once Admissions has communicated their decision on your application to UC San Diego. You can check this by logging in at myapplication.ucsd.edu. "Not believe in it, just curious…
Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed with this Housing Application process for the term indicated. Please contact the Housing Office at 858-534-4010 during our normal weekday office hours of 8am to 4pm. is bad I guess, which is mine.
That is the “good” housing message supposedly!
Oh well, alright then I guess. Seems pretty “bad” to me.
i apologize @AAMP31B. I meant to post that to the wrong thread with very bad timing. I truly apologize for the misunderstanding. Unfortunately, that is the “bad” message, but I have read on the other thread you are doing U-link, so i’m sure it means nothing! Don’t stress it
Ah yeah @FuturePAinCA I’m not stressing it, I was saying before that I was pretty sure the housing message meant nothing because of that.
@AAMP31B I definitely think it is weird that there is two messages, and there may be some truth to the correlation, but I don’t think its substantial enough to go off of. I’ll only believe it once it says “Congratulations…” or “We regret to inform you…” lol
I had the good housing message prior to being accepted. So far, we haven’t seen any definite conflicts to the housing message.
Hey… i got rejected by ucla and uc davis and wait listed for ucsd. I am very worried. i attended community college for a year and I don’t want to stay one more year in community college since I have pretty much completed my core classes . I did not complete my IGETC and have a gpa of 3.4 . Intended major is cis . What are the chances of getting in ucsd from waitlist ?

@jazzzyjam im currently your major and im planning to transfer to ucsd next year fall 2016. cna you give me some advice? what extra curriculars did you do? how was your personal statement essays? what recommendations? etc.
Hello @unknown10108!
First of all. Good Luck!
I had ULink so in some ways it made it easier for me to get into UCSD. Some advice would be to work hard. Get the grades. But I’m sure that you already know that. Do stuff that you are passionate about so it will make it easier to talk about in your personal statements.
Some extracurriculars is: I have over 400+ volunteering hours in a hospital alone due to starting in high school. I volunteered both on a nursing unit and the ICU. This helped me get more involved since I had been given the opportunity to train other volunteers. I have other community service like being apart of a cultural group. I go around the area spreading my culture. I worked and did babysitting a little.
I started working on my essays during the summer so it helped me reflect and change things I didn’t like. It also helped to get those out of the way since I had a lot of classes. The essays are supposed to reflect who you are. So take your time. I had 2 other people read my personal statements and make corrections.
I didn’t have a lot of things on my application. Its more about quality over quantity.
Good Luck again!
