It says April 30th as their last day so anytime
@misseskite Let us know if you find anything out.
Hey guys I know the wait sucks but decisions will be released soon so try to chill (easier said than done). I transferred here last year for CS and I just want to tell you guys that it’s been an awesome year. The CS classes here are no joke and they really push you hard. If you are trying to do CS but don’t feel like you can keep up with the really gifted students that got 4.5 gpa and 35s on the ACT in high school then definitely pick another school because even those kids struggle here. However if you want to be pushed hard by brilliant professors then this is the school.
On another note I joined a fraternity and have never had such an awesome social life. I am writing this because I remember being stressed out last year and figure this would make some of you guys excited since your lives about to change so much. I hope you guys all get in to the schools you want to !!
I called admissions this morning…it’s the same generic response. “You will know by April 30th and be notified by email”. But like…I have a week to decide where I’m going to be spending the next 2-3 years of my life and decisions still haven’t come out??? Smh
I wish they would at least tell us if it’s going to be this week ?
I think it will be this week, at least by Friday, otherwise they are rlly evil tbh. Hang in there guys!
YEP… same bs response… blah blah blah we’re working as hard as we can, no one knows anything, but rest assured you have until June to decide. No not rest assured thats really not a lot of time to tour and make plans especially when UCB has their transfer day early may…and thats a big trip to plan financially for my family that I DON’T want to take if UCSD offers a better financial aid package
@Navea13 It depends what kind of environment you want. Cal Poly is known for being very hands on (they have the whole “learn by doing” philosophy) and UCs in general are more theoretical. The classes are smaller at Cal Poly (if that’s something that matters to you) and they are more undergrad focused. I would suggest visiting both (if you haven’t already) and talking with students/professors in your department to get a better feel for both campuses.
Let’s just hope they release tomorrow just like UCLA.
Hey guys, I’ve been in a back and forth with UCSD concerning me dropping one of my classes. I asked when they are going to release admissions since my class drop deadline is April 25th and here is what they said: “Transfer notifications will be going out VERY soon. Please do not miss the deadline to drop the course.” If i had to guess, it sounds like it’ll be this week…
@AlexOliveira wait, so before or on the 25th you have to drop…why would she say "dont miss the deadline to drop?
No idea… All the colleges ive talked to about dropping classes have been really broad and not very helpful…
@AlexOliveira Great…now someone needs to call and say that their deadline to drop is the 24th…lol
@kristinpete I’m on it!-
I’m low key loving this team effort to get some answers outta them
high key
I love that they almost gave you some useful information, and even went so far as to emphasize “very”, but were vague enough to not actually tell you anything you could work with.
Can someone explain what I’m supposed to say about dropping a class? I’m still unclear… am I supposed to pretend I have to drop it because I’m not doing well? lol
Yeah say the drop date is tomorrow but it’s required for your major at UCSD so you need to know about the decision because if you aren’t going there then you’ll drop it but if you’re going there then you’ll stay in the class
They probably still won’t give you any further information but ??♀️
