i logged in to tritonlink and as usual, nothing changes. being reviewed, blah blah blah.

however i clicked Housing Application (on the left) and while usually it says something along the lines of your status does not allow you to continue or something like that today it says

"New transfer students may fill out a Housing Waitlist application on the Undergraduate Housing Waitlist website starting June 2, 2008 at 8 a.m. The Commuter Student Services Office also offers help with searching for off campus housing options."

now does this mean anything or is the school just filled with sadists?

I just checked, and it says the same thing for me. For a while, I was scared that mine would say my status didn't allow me to look at housing options yet (or ever) :)

fyi, my brother is a cali comm. college transfer and he was already admittted to ucsd under a psych major the same day that I (as a freshman applicant) was admitted, so im sure you guys will kno soon enough

Haha moscow that was a great observation to notice the difference in housing app access. I noticed that as well this morning, but i dismissed it and thought everyone had access. I wouldn't be surprised if it means you're accepted and they're just waiting to send notifications out in a batch.

good catch man. you could be right, which is bad cuz mine says, "Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed with this Housing Application process for the term indicated". bummer.

Oh wow, good eye. That could be that could be true. When I click the housing application option it says:

"You cannot use this application due to the following:
Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed with this Housing Application process for the term indicated. Please contact the Housing Office at 858-534-4010 during our normal weekday office hours of 8am to 4pm."

I've got the new message. crosses fingers

For those that don't have it, even if the new message does indicate admission, we're still only half way through the notification period. There's still plenty of time in which to be accepted.

Yeah I definitely think moscow is on to something with this - but to those who are still getting the "no access" message, I wouldn't worry. It's very possible you are getting that message because you are still in the "decision pending" phase, not necessarily rejected.

Yeah I saw the new message as well, but no change in the application status.

In fact, I didn't even get the usual hesitation from the site at 9AM (usually the site is "down for updates" every night at midnight and every morning at 9AM for approximately 20 minutes)

I was accepted as a transfer student on 3/15, and my message for the housing application says

"New transfer students may fill out a Housing Waitlist application on the Undergraduate Housing Waitlist website starting June 2, 2008 at 8 a.m. The Commuter Student Services Office also offers help with searching for off campus housing options."
