<p>ucsd also offered me chancellor's. but unlike you, davis gave me a pretty nice financial aid package as well. for me, it's still cheaper to attend ucsd though. i am actually considering davis becuase they have a division I football team. the only thing i don't like about ucsd is its lack of school spirit (probably due to having no football team). in the end, i think i will choose ucsd simply because i might go to grad school, which will be quite expensive, and also because ucsd's international relations field outstrips all the other UCs, with the exception of berkeley (which i did not get into). </p>
<p>however, if you are really set on studying environmental science, davis is the best school to do so. it kind of depends on your aid package. if your loans aren't too unreasonable, it's actually a small price to pay for better education and access to quality professors. and if you are into sports and school spirit, they're probably more widespread at davis. so that's an added bonus.</p>
