For those among us, such as myself, who got denizzled, I think it's time to cuddle and cry together. Some of you I've gotten to know a little bit over the last few weeks, and I have a couple shoulders that are ready for some tears.

3.03
No TAG (the dagger)
IGETC completed
pre-reqs done
local kid

Transferring from CSU and got rejected. Super mad at their reasoning.

Because I am not a CC student, I am subjected to the 3.8GPA cut off for 4 year university students. Basically she told me “we rather have you stay at your four year.”

***. IF i rather stay at my 4 year, I WOULDNT APPLY IN THE FIRST PLACE!

To top it all off, I DO HAVE A 3.8 NOW!! -_- Want to appeal but I have my mind set on UCD and just got into ucsb.

i can’t help but laugh at you too Papibien. you’re in the same boat as me.

i was actually worried about my units so i called and they told me i had 67, and i knew i had finished igetc so i’m like lol… ok. i’m in for sure now. apparently not.

I know what you mean, mythology. I thought for sure I was in because of TAG and then I get the “we are unable to offer admission” BS. I hope it was just a mistake, but I have doubts running in my head that they’ll come with a reason not to give me admission. :(

you must not understand the agreement then, Grimes: You are accepted to the school. You literally can’t be rejected. Regardless of not being admitted into your major, you are admitted into the school. You CANNOT be rejected.

@myth: I’ve known about TAG since the GPA requirement was a 2.8 and you had to sign a contract a year in advance of your transfer. Trust me, I’ve heard it explained a million times.

You are guaranteed admission, but NOT a major. If the only majors you select to apply for are full of more-qualified applicants, you will not be offered admission to that major, in which case you don’t have a major and thus you will not be admitted. UCSD does not allow undecided transfer students, nor do they allow you to select another major if you’re rejected for the first one you apply for. This is how it’s always worked.

Alright, now the question is, do I email my potential contact about my situation or give her a call in the morning? I’m thinking I can woo her better with my voice… ;)
