I am thoroughly disgusted with UCSB. As a TAG transfer, I should have been included in at least the first batch of transfer decisions. Whether it be acceptance or denial, this should have been how it worked. IF, as a TAG holder you take into account that I had to fill out my TAG a month before applications were due, then it seems as though we would have priority over a non TAG holder. This is not the case it seems and it has driven me up the wall. I am so utterly dumbfounded when I see an admitted 3.2 transfer with no TAG and I had a 3.5 with a TAG.

Okay rant over, but still upset.....
The wait continues. It sucks to go through spring break not knowing.

I’m pretty sure they literally go through applications randomly. Not first come, first serve basis. Not TAG first. Nothing in any particular order. The computer jumbles up the applicants and feeds it to the admissions officer.

If you’re Tag’d, and everything is in order, there’s no reason to worry about the decision timing. It’s obvious you’ll get in. Try being in my shoes: Non Tag’d, still IP for the UC math requirement, taking 19 units just to meet the 60 unit threshold. Oh, and UCSB is my backup school. I’m skating on thin ice.

Well as a non-tagger I’d be pretty annoyed if campuses admitted all taggers first. You know you’re getting in, so why does it matter when you get that official notice.

Meh, I’m a non-TAGger I actually feel like those who did TAG deserve to hear first since they started the process earlier (not that I’m complaining or ungrateful for recieving four decisions so far). If I TAGged, I’d be irritated too.

@giraffe, not really, with UCSB they don’t approve your TAG until the actual decision in released. So you don’t REALLY know if they accepted it. I didn’t read the fine print. If I had I would have tagged another campus. Instead of Davis I chose UCSB because it’s close to the beach. could wind up being a stupid move. But I’m not so upset as I was earlier. I think I was just bored cause it’s my day off, it’s spring break, and it’s raining. So sitting here mulling it over and over. But thanks foe the responses.

@randroid,
me too, Im so ready. Im in at SF state and waiting to hear from the UCM, UCSB and UCLA. Im ready to just say im going to SF state. Do well there and move on to a UC for grad school hopefully.

Agreed with snizzle77. It doesn’t hurt to wait for another few days. Should consider yourself lucky since UCSB releases decisions on a daily basis, unlike UCI and UCSD.
