<p>anyone planning on going? </p>
<p>i read some past threads from 2008 and such that said the day was a waist of time and a disappointment.... i dont really want to make the 8 hour drive if its going to be a bust...</p>
<p>i probably will go, to check out the tower in the village.. i checked out one of the sample apartments earlier in the year but i want to see the view from the tower, the feel of it, and such.. still trying to decide on village vs. off campus. i will also be checking out housing in PB and UTC.</p>
<p>so, who is planning on going to this? <em>free stuff</em></p>

<p>ive been there for a campus tour, its nothing special and its boring but if u go to the gaslamp district afterwords or to pacific beach pier you can have a real nice day.</p>

<p>Haha Jane. I think you posted that you failed your math class a long time ago. That really sucks. I wonder if they will let you in again.</p>
<p>Just to give you guys a heads up about The Village:</p>
<p>My friend transferred to UCSD last year, and he now lives in the village. Basically, he told me there are 8 buildings in the village. The first 5 or 6 or so are small and cramped from what he told me. Buildings 7 & 8 are apparently beautiful and overlook the beach; they are also extremely spacious and leisurely. </p>
<p>Apparently, sometime after you send in your SIR, you can pick what buildings you like or something like that. I would definitely advise, if you guys do have the option, to shoot for bldgs 7 and 8. </p>
<p>I used to want UCSD a few moths ago, but Berkeley has stolen my heart lol.</p>

<p>thanks for the heads up. I already submitted my SIR, even though I haven’t heard from UCLA, because I want to double major with philosophy and urban planning, which UCLA doesn’t have.</p>
<p>@ predicthisflick: Ahh ok, yeah that makes sense. I also want to double, but in Psych and Social welfare…or maybe phil instead of social welfare. I’m not sure yet.</p>

<p>@ Predicthisflick- I was accepted at UCSD for anthro, but I’m going to change to USP. I went to the Urban Studies and Planning office today, and the advisors and everyone are really nice, and seem like they would be a lot of help as far as academic advising and what not. I’m waiting to submit my SIR 'til I hear back from UCLA (even though I’m pretty set on UCSD.) Just thought I’d share :)</p>
