UCSD transfers still waiting

I mean, gotten in today?

It kills me because we submit these applications in November and they claim "staffing problems" over a period of five months. In the future, it would be kind of them to set a definitive date for decisions.

Hmm.. I'm assuming no ones gotten in today?

nope nothing

Nothing here either. Like I said in the other thread, this is really starting to get me antsy, because I have a Guranteed Transfer Agreement thing with UCSD, and I'm pretty much the last one out of my friends to receive anything.

Is your major impacted tweeeee? I'm EE and it's impacted so most if not all EE majors haven't heard from UCSD yet.

On a side note, a UCSD rep told me that EE will not be considered an impacted major in Fall '06 so if anyone is reapplying, you'll have a higher chance of getting in compared to this year's applicants.

they haven't released any engineering majors it seems...EE here

Considering my major is Microbiology, which I've yet to find anyone else majoring in, I really doubt it's impacted.

tweee: my biochem friend got his two weeks ago...seems close to your major

What major you are does not have any affect on whether or not you get in.

You can still get into UCSD but not into your major.

Citan, which college did he apply for? I think that's playing a factor too; I applied for Sixth.

uh....I think he said Roosevelt...not sure

Almost everybody in my molecular bio class got in ucla, and they talked about it for the whole lab period, which was five and half hour long!Non-stop! I told them I was accepted by ucr only lol OMG, I should totally choose ucsd over ucla.

You should, UCSD's bio department is very reputable and San Diego's bio industry is booming with prospects. I would major in biomedical engineering at UCSD but I've never taken bio since high school. :)

I want to be in UCSD too, but I worry about housing in San Diego. It sucks that UCSD don't provide transfer housing. :( Besides, all of my friend say they will go to UCLA. Cuz they afraid of the GE courses in UCSD. I have no friend who willing to rent apartment with me :(

Why don't you finish IGETC at your college? 4 out of the 6 UCSD colleges accept IGETC as total completion of lower division GE.

And a UCSD rep told me a good and bad news earlier this week. UCSD is building a Transfer housing complex. The bad news is that it won't be finished until 2008. :(

Edit: Actually, you are better off renting off-campus. For the 2006-2007 schoolyear, room and board is estimated at $9,657 while off-campus is $8,501. But you'll have to factor in transportation costs and that may make or break the deal.

I'm almost igetc certified, and I just need Spanish 2. But I will be in Revelle college if I go to ucsd. :( I knew nothing about colleges in ucsd when I applied and chose Revelle as my first choice(:( ) randomly.

:( sucks, I will be graduated by that time. totally bad news!

Ouch! Revelle and Roosevelt require additional lower div GE. Let's hope you get into your 2nd choice college instead.

I've already got in ucsd and revelle colllege:(. I just found out that my 2 nd choice was Muir college!!! :(

I've scheduled a meeting with a ucsd rap. Let's see if I can use my credits in CC to cover most of the GE courses for revelle. I'll go to ucsd if I just need to take 1 or 2 GE courses.
