Hello all! I am desperately in need of any advice available.
I am a Public Health transfer student on a Pre Med track and I’m currently trying to decide between UCSD and UCB. I have visited both school and I like both campuses quite a bit for different reasons. I like the Berkeley (San Fran) area quite a bit more, but I like San Diego for its mellow yet productive vibe. While I am still waiting to hear from some scholarships they’re a bit of a longshot with UCB so I’m just going to assume that they’re both offering equal financial aid. I have done a lot of research and they both seem like amazing schools. Here are a few things that could be deciding factors:
-How hard it’ll be to get certain classes (I still need my year of low division Physics and O Chem for Med Prereqs as they were not in my major)
-Availability of research and other extracurricular opportunities within my major
-Faculty within my program
There’s probably a whole lot more but for now those are the ones that I’m really worried about. I know they’re both amazing schools for science, so I guess I’m just hoping that some of you out there might have some specific experience that you can share that may shift my decision one way.
Thank you in advance!
