UCSD vs UCD for biochem (and other biosciences)

Both universities claim to have the top biology (biosciences) program but which one really "the better" for undergraduate?

Which one has more research opportunities?

I don’t know about UCD but people here will pretty much encourage you to go to UCSD.
Besides UCSD is better in terms of rankings, UCSD is known to be a science school.
Here, bioengineering is probably one of the best in the country and this major is super impacted. Majors within bio department are also impacted (more impacted than any kind of engineering) because the majority of students here are science major. Not sure about research opportunity but here UCSD has it’s own hospital.

Since UCSD seems to be know more as a “bio school” and is more impacted, would there be more issues getting required classes as compared to UCD?
