UCSD vs UCI vs LMU

Hello, I am a senior from Los Angeles. I am an engineering major and I have to choose between UCSD, UCI, and Loyola Marymount University. Which school has the best engineering program? Best overall education/experience? Where should I go?

I am also looking for these characteristics:
Beautiful/Green campus
nice housing

Is cost the same for all ? San Diego looks like a pretty clear choice to me. Best engineering program and a great big campus. The other two cannot even be compared.

Pretty much since LMU gave me a half tuition scholarship as well. They do have a renowned engineering program but would you say the campus is beautiful? Thanks for the reply.

please help me lol

The University of California schools are generally stronger. UCSD probably a bit better than UCI. however, you need to consider overall cost, job placement statistics, and how you feel about each school. If all the programs are ABET accredited, then your secondary criteria can be used to make your choice.

Thanks for the reply. When it comes to costs they all come out to be the same.

If cost is the same, then you might as well go to the best school. That is UCSD.

What if the OP doesn’t want to go to a school with 30,000 students? There’s got to be a reason LMU made the list. If it was just about the “best” based on some highly flawed ranking system, then why put LMU in the hunt in the first place and why ask the question here?

Chewy, what attracted you to apply to LMU, a school by size and religious affiliation is quite different than the other two?

M

Don’t know about “renowned”, but the campus IS beautiful, and the small class size is what my son needed.

thank you for the input
help
