UCSD vs. USC

UCSD
BioEngineering-Premed
Sixth College
No Financial Aid

USC
BioEngineering-PreMed
Viterbi School of Engineering
No financial aid yet but expected to be about
$15,000-25,000

Any idea. I’m leaning towards UCSD but not sure.
What does everyone think?

For bioengineering UCSD is ranked #2 in the nation by US News and World Report( http://www.sandiego.edu/business/upload/ENGR/CBENG.pdf ) go to the second page. So for academics UCSD, but as far as social life goes, USC 100%. Im actually in the same boat as you deciding between UCSD and USC so im gonna post my info to.

USC
Electrical Engineering
Viterbi School of Engineering
no financial aid yet, but excpect to be pretty high

UCSD
Electrical Engineering
Warren College
Very good financial aid (for a UC)

If I go to USC I will be living at home, but consider moving into my own apartment if i get a job. For UCSD Ill be living off-campus.

i wonder why you get financial aid at USC than UCSD

You get more aid at USC because it is a private college, which has about a 40k a year cost. But since it is private school, they can do essentially whatever they want with their aid. The UCs being a state college are partially funded by the state and cost only about 20k a year, but have to be stricter with their aid money because it comes from the state budget.
