Still waiting here… I got off the waitlist for UCI and SIRed but I wanna see if UCSD will come out. Maybe I could go there instead.

someone said earlier in the thread that a counselor told a student they are picking very few people from waitlist this year
I guess first wave of waitlist will released soon tho… housing plan is due 6/7
So I talked with an admission advisor who used to work at UCSD. She told me she called one of the current admission advisor she knows and advisor said they didn’t even look at transfer waitlist yet. Ucsd’s waitlist policy changed and they only accept small amount of people from waitlist when spot opens. That’s why they waited until June 1, result will be not available until mid-end of june…yikes
@baebi99 Wow that sucks I already SIRed to UCI since I got off the waitlist there, but I really want to get off on UCSD’s waitlist.
I’m really wanting to get off UCSD’s waitlist too. They’re my first choice. I got off the waitlist at UCI, but I’m trying to hold off a few days to see if I hear from UCSD before my deadline. However, based off this news I’m probably waiting for nothing. Let’s hope at least some of us can get off the waitlist

@HarleyTheQuinn @pkw001 me too… Nowadays I’m watching ucsd single dorm tour video (the village) on youtube and it just makes me more wanna go there so bad…
@baebi99 they have very little single rooms available and you’ll most likely end up getting a shared room. don’t know if this helps lol

Why do peolle think that waitlist will be less this year?
has NOBODY been taken off the waitlist yet? or have some less competitive majors already released their decisions?
Nobody here has been taken off. Doesn’t seem like anyone on reddit has been taken off either.
My first choice is literatures in English and my second choice is global studies and I’m still waiting. I checked the thread for last year they released waitlists on May 10, and then June 5, and then again around June 10. I don’t know why it’s taking so long
