Their acceptance rate is about 55%. That seems really high to me. Is it easy to get into that school for an OOS student?
It really depends on what program you are trying to get into, what your stats are, etc.
Hmm, can you be more specific? thank you
What degree program? What is your GPA? Are you a transfer student, etc etc etc. The flat rate you are looking at is quite complex when you account for the fact that they do holistic admissions. It is also an aggregate of all colleges, so if you are looking into Computer Science, for example, the 55% admission rate changes into about 28% for all total apps in that major, and 12% if you are a transfer.
TL;DR: 55% is the entire University, certain majors are significantly worse.

Do you know about the admission rates for psychology, marketing, or film at University of Washington?
I am not sure they publish that. You would have to do some Googling.
It’s 55%, but that number can be lower or higher depending on your situation.
Out-of-state is a harder than people think it is because of the in-state quota of students they have to fill and the sheer amount of international students who want those remaining spots.
Here is a recent article on topic:
Last year, the overall admission rate was 55.2%, with rates of 68% for residents, 48.9% for non-residents and 39.8 for international non-residents.
The above article says the overall rate this year was around 53%, and the rate was 66% for residents. We will probably see information about non-residents and internationals in the coming weeks.
