Just got financial info on site. Said cost is 21,132 and we are eligible to pay a certain amount. Then it shows three different award amounts,loans, that add up to 21,132. Help me decipher what they’re telling me? Are these loans or grants?

All predicted. And it says award amounts and total amount.
Says these awards will be disbursed each term if I continue to meet eligibility requirements. Are these loans I have to repay or awards? Confused.
Those are all loans. All loans have to be paid back. The parent loans have a different set of rules as to when the payments start. You need to look into it and be sure you are willing to go into that kind of debt.
Luckily, I have florida prepaid.
Was hoping for some scholarship money. Have 1540 Sat. Mid 700’s on three Sat2’s. Got nothing that I know of.
But got accepted. Proud of that in a brutal year where the U. of Fl. Rate was under 38%.
It did say a certain amount for finasncial need,it was substantial and it is just predicted. Will get real offer at end of month.
@snicks1234 - luckily we have prepaid as well. We have not yet received the financial aide letter but D is NMF so we are interested to see how it all works out. As for additional scholarships, been hearing bits and pieces about some being out already, possibly all being out, possibly not. D has 35 ACT 3.89 UW. 5.28 W- at a very competitive high school and Girl Scout Gold award, leadership positions at school and in the community and over 500 hours community service and we have heard nothing yet- fingers are still crossed.
And yes, I too agree it was a brutal year for admissions. Everyone who got in should be very proud.
Our financial aid letter went to spam so make sure to check there also.
And UF did holistic for scholarships. My D school valedictorian did not get one, but two students with lower test scores and grades got $20k; one was minority, one was not.
I feel like they drew names out of a hat for scholarships!
No scholarship here,35 act and 1570 sat along with top 1% of class and amazing EC. Kinda disappointed
1530 SAT, valedictorian, 800s on Math II and Chemistry here. No scholarship other than bright futures
4.0 unweighted, 4.76 weighted btw

@STEM2017 We also hadn’t gotten our son’s, as of this morning. My daughter (DD14) got her’s, last night. However, getting hers, I can already guess his (which is going to be blah…) 
just for some reference, this thread is from 7 years ago but I still think Uf’s methodology for picking who gets the merit scholarships is the same.

Let’s hope that Bright Futures goes back to full funding (though I realize that doesn’t help the OOS kids).
