What are my chances for UF summer 2014?

GPA: 4.5
Class Rank: 20/454

7 Varsity Letters (swimming and track)

Order of the Arrow member
Lifeguard (2 years exp.)
300+ volunteer hours

If you need more info let me know. Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming that’s your UF calculated GPA, I would say you have a great chance of getting in. You have a good ACT score and great extracurriculars.

Statistics for the last admitted class:

Mid 50% GPA: 4.1-4.5
Average GPA: 4.3
Mid 50% SAT: 1840-2100
Average SAT: 1967
Mid 50% ACT: 28-32
Average ACT: 30

Thank you for replying. That is encouraging news, now I just need to nail the admission essay and wait.

@ryanx- will you please stop posting those INCORRECT admissions statistics? UF has not released their freshman profile for 2013 yet, and any admission officer you call will give you the 2012 admissions statistics and tell you the 2013 statistics are not available yet.

Looks like that information was pulled from this article:

[UF sends out acceptance notices | Gainesville.com](http://www.gainesville.com/article/20130208/ARTICLES/130209592)

GPA, ECs, and high class rank are great. Test scores are ok. Overall, I think you’ll get accepted, especially considering how holistic the admissions process is. Also, the application will ask for work experience and awards, so if you’ve got any of those, big bonus.

Also, summer/fall admits don’t really differ qualification-wise.

Yes those are the correct statistics. I asked my counselor at Preview. They are also consistent with the rising statistics year over year.
