Chances for UF Summer B?

GPA Weighted: 4.2
ACT: 26 (taking again, hope for higher)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Youth group president
Founded a teen advisory board for an organization
Student Government Chairperson
DECA State Competitor</p>

<p>Community Service:
252 hours</p>

<p>Honors:
3 years varsity lacrosse
National Honor Society
Science National Honor Society
Social Students National Honor Society
Youth group president of the year award</p>

<p>do i have a chance?</p>

<p>Bring that ACT up a couple of points or so and you’ll be fine.</p>

<p>Looks like your only defect is your ACT.</p>

<p>Get a 28, and I think you are fine.</p>

<p>My son raised his from a 31 to a 34 with absolutely zero studying, so mere familiarity with the exam should help you.</p>

<p>I agree with what floridadad said. The ACT’s strict time limits affect first-time performance a lot (this is a big reason for why I got a 24 on Science the first time, lol); a second sitting should definitely help. Of course, it wouldn’t help to study a little bit either! I studied a little bit each day for about a week and a half before the test and brought my score up from a 30 to a 33.</p>

<p>I would say so. Also, are you in-state? OOS applicants have it a lot tougher on admission standards at UF.</p>
