@Danielle2400 Thanks for the Clarification.

Actually, according to the Dean of Admissions at UF, the incoming class of 2015 has only 6500 students out of the 29,000 that applied. We heard that number while at Preview this summer and again this past Friday at UF’s Convocation ceremony welcoming the class of 2015. Infact, it was stated that this incoming class of freshmen are the brightest to ever enroll at UF!! So proud of this class!! Go Gators!!!

Here is another thought:
what was the stats on fall admits vs. summer B admits?

just curious to know if the spread was considerable?

There were no official stats reflecting whether UF admitted students for the Class of 2015 had higher or lower stats for the semester that they were to start classes. However, a review of College Confidential postings and those on other sites such as College Data 411 show that of the 11,260 or so admitted, about 7800 were admitted for Fall, 2500 for Summer B and about 970 for Spring 2012. There is anecdotal information that assuming no specific request to start either in Summer B or Spring 2012, SAT/ACT scores and GPA’s were highest for Fall, then for Summer B and then Spring 2012.

Danielle ok i’ll buy that. Let me give you an example where I believe there is a difference in student stats for fall vs. summer b.

In my son’s HS 11 students applied for Fall admittance. Only two were accepted for Fall the others were given the option to start in Summer B, but not for fall.

At least this is the way I understood it to be? My niece wanted to start in the Fall. But was told she needed to start during summer B.

It is not a big deal. I was just curious.
