UF College of Journalism and Communications

Can anyone share their experiences with this program, pluses and minuses, particularly in the Advertising or Public Relations majors? What other schools did you consider? Thanks for anything you can share.

I started off in the business school and switched over to public relations right before my junior year. I have had the best experience in the Journalism college - the classes aren’t online, so you’re actually getting to meet and talk to your professors. Also, your classes are small or break up into smaller sessions with TAs, so you are able to really get the the most out of each class. Also, you learn how to write. Good writing skills will help you in any career and set you apart from your peers for the rest of your life.

Public relations is also a relatively easy major, so it’s great if you’re looking to double-major, pick up a minor or two, get involved on campus, or work.

Spot-on with what I was seeking, @GatorGrad23 , thank you so much.

What years did you attend, if you don’t mind sharing?

@ohiovalley16 - I attended 2011-2015. Just finished in May!
