The sign up process for freshmen this year is new. Basically, you get to choose your room like a returning student would. And yes, you get to see who is your roommate. You may get their contact info but it’s really not that helpful unless you already know the person. I do know that you can reserve a space for a roommate (someone you want to be rommates with) if you are a returning student but I don’t know about freshmen since it’s a new process now.

billyballs, since you applied that late, they may either have you on a waiting list or you may be assigned a room (most likely a temporary triple somewhere). If they don’t contact you by the end of April, do email them- they tend to be a bit slow around this time.

How does this work if you want to join one of the “learning communities”?

Also, My date isn’t until July 13th, so I’m guessing I’m going to get the worst housing possible. :(

To the best of my knowledge, you can just sign up for a room in one of the buildings except for Hume (you need to be in the Honors Program for that one).

If you have a roommate in mind who has a later date than you, you can reserve a spot for your roommate. And that person has 24 hours to claim that space if not then that spot in your room is free game to anyone.

ok got my contract apr 29th, finally. is the contract due date what everyone is posting, or is that another date after you’ve finalized your contract? im a transfer, so im thinking i have a decent shot to still get in keys? eh here’s hopin
