Wow, I wish they would have told us Pre-Paid gets to choose first, then I would have waited a bit longer to submit my application, instead of doing it early to get a good priority date

When they say Florida Prepaid, do they mean Florida Prepaid for housing or for anything? My daughter is in IA, so I guess dates are meaningless. But I have another child. Also, does anyone know if all Florida universities are the same way? I doubt my younger daughter will go to UF.

I’m pretty sure they mean pre-paid for housing, if you only have pre-paid for tuition I don’t know why that would mean you should go first…
Pre-paid for housing means you have already paid to live in a double and are entitled to live in a double for the year. So I guess they give us first pick to ensure that we can get a double.
From what I know from my friends going to the other Florida universities, none of the rest of them operate like UF in the way that you get to log on and literally choose your room on a certain day. But I would assume that if your other daughter gets pre-paid housing that would assure she would get a double, rather than a triple.

I think it is Florida Prepaid…I think they are letting them go first because the Florida prepaid contract states you are guaranteed at least a double air-conditioned room. If they go first, then they will be guaranteed this.

in retrospect, I wish I had Florida Prepaid…I turned my app in August 20 so I could be first choice for a dorm room and now I am on day 3 because I do not have Florida prepaid
