The only thing I haven't completed is the essay for the UF application :/

"In the space provided, please write a concise narrative in which you describe a meaningful event, experience or accomplishment in your life and how it will affect your college experience or your contribution to the UF campus community. You may want to reflect on your ideas about student responsibility, academic integrity, campus citizenship or a call to service."

I was wondering if writing about how dealing with my alcoholic father thasnt broken me but has instead been one of the major motivations to do well in school and in life in order to have a bright future for myself. And that I want to help others deal with their issues that stem from living with alcoholics if and when I attend UF.

I'm just afraid that 1) this is too generic. So many kids (unfortunately) have alcoholic parents. and 2) its a slightly depressing topic =[

My backup option is talking about how my yearbook class (i'm editor-in-chief and have been in it for 3 years) has given me a glimpse of how working and dealing with people in the real world functions and how to overcome those problems. I'd use my skills and knowledge in whatever job i attain and any student activities I plan on being involved in such as the campus magazine staff.

I'm afraid that that won't be interesting and will be harder to write about

please help me choose! thanks =]
