UF-FSU-UCF Medical

I’ll make this short and to the point.

I am applying to medical school in the future and am currently a junior at FIU. However, I am not sure which major/school would increase my chances the most at getting into medical school, or if it really matters which school I choose.

I was accepted to UCF’s Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences in the College of Medicine and would complete my Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences

FSU- I would complete my bachelor’s in Biochemistry

UF-I would complete my bachelor’s in Biology.

In other words would I be crazy to choose UCF over UF/FSU? Even based on the program I was accepted into at UCF??
I don’t care about the area of the school, nor do I care about sports and how they rate. I am only concerned with academics and improving my chances of getting into med school. Any advice on which school would be the best choice would be great!

The FSU & UCF medical schools are very new and don’t have the “prestige” of UF’s medical school. That being said, FSU and UCF have more to prove than UF and may be more accommodating.

My understanding is that medical schools are primarily concerned about MCAT scores and GPAs, as long as you go somewhere halfway decent. Any of these schools should fit the bill.
