I was offered a computer science program at Santa Fe and would like to know if anyone has tried it. Please, I d like to hear your opinions and experience. Thanks.
Also, how did you deal with housing?
p.s. Is it better than UCF?

Have you posted your question in the University of Florida forum?
I’ve known a few kids that have entered the program and liked it. After the first semester, you’re a UF student who has to complete of all math and science critical tracking courses at Santa Fe (Calc 1,2,3, Physics 1, 2, and for CSE, Prog. Fundamentals 1).

I think the main advantages of the program (IMHO), is smaller classes, and after your first semester, access to all campus resources, such as student organizations and if you’re charged local CC’s rates, substantial cost savings. The main disadvantage is not being able to live in on-campus housing (dorms) the first year (after the first year, most students move off-campus).
UF engineering is stronger than UCF’s program, but UCF has a solid program. If they offered merit scholarships, and you really want to live on-campus, you can still do fine at UCF.
Good Luck!
