As a student who is 100 points off from the SAT requirement for UF honors program, I was wondering if you guys know if people get in by doing the petition or if the petition is really only for people who are closer to the requirements.

Im a fairly good writer so I don't think the application is my concern. I'm mostly curious if you've heard of people getting into the honors with less than a 2070

Apply. If you still don’t get in, you can always apply via lateral admission… (That’s what I am doing) And yes… I’ve heard of people getting in with less that 2070.

you have to have attended the workshops. the director is only making it available to people who registered and attended the workshop. (if you did attend, it will be available to you on sakai, sometime in october.)

Workshops are not specified in the admit
criteria. SAT criteria are specified but the
Director is just kidding? He wants eh SAT’s
so long as the “workshops” have been
attended? 2070 is UF published, but no, it’s
all about workshops?

LATERAL ADMISSIONS deals with a workshop. NOT REGULAR ADMISSIONS.
It’s one workshop where the director tells you about UF Honors and then goes over the application process. This is the first year that they have had a mandatory workshop attendance to apply. It’s one workshop. Register with the Department of Student Affairs. Or contact the UF Honors Office for admission. When applying via lateral admissions they don’t care about anything from high school. – direct quote from the director.
