@Melissa96 - Thank you!
@Melissa96 thanks for clearing this up bc we saw the scholarship this morning and now it is gone? So was what we saw correct?
@Melissa96 when we called admissions they said they don’t know anything about this and if it is not on the portal then they didn’t get it? I’m hoping what you are saying is correct bc it was on the portal this morning.
@partyoffivemom - it was likely correct but nothing is official until they send out the notification announcement which will occur next week.
So I just called the admissions office and I was told that they had accidentally released scholarship information yesterday but that it wasn’t ready to be seen. So as a result, they have removed the scholarship information today. Don’t freak out if you don’t see anything on your portal. We should expect the information next week.
@Melissa96 they weren’t all accidentally posted? There wasn’t one on my son’s portal…any small hope he can hold on to?
@ufalumn1997 - Right, info was going in that was supposed to be masked. It wasn’t a complete scholarship list.
Thanks for the update @Mellisa96. Great to hear there is still a possibility!
Did anyone who won a scholarship receive an email or was it just updated on the application status?
Did anyone else’s scholarship info disappear from their portal? My portal noted that I received the 20k Gator Nation Scholarship earlier, but I can no longer see it in my portal. All that appears is the enrollment confirmation and UFID sections.
Does anyone have an idea of the criteria for these scholarships?
@968Mom This is what the website says:
Applicants are considered for scholarships using the same holistic and academic criteria used for admission. No additional materials or updated information should be submitted for scholarship review.
While there are no minimum academic criteria for the scholarships, past recipients have demonstrated strong academic achievement that falls within the upper middle 50% of our admitted student profile, combined with a diverse and engaged résumé and essay response.
Thank you @Melissa96! There’s still hope, though we know UF doesn’t give many!
@partyoffivemom They are stacked. I got the Presidential Gold and Bright Futures last year. Bright Futures is applied first, and then you get the Presidential Gold remaining amount as a refund.
I just got off the phone with a freshman admissions officer and he said that scholarship information should be released today at the end of the day.
Will they send an email out?
@kc24567 Supposedly, but I didn’t receive anything and nobody is updating us so I am not sure.
I’m not seeing anything yet…and we know that DS was offered scholarship $ from his admission letter.
@kdnmom - S19 had one the other day but it hasn’t shown back up.
Has anyone heard anything yet? Are you sure @holr0823 was correct??
