UF, my chances? Computer Science

Hi everyone,
I found this forum already to be very useful, but I really dont know how my chances would be for UF as a transfer student...

At the moment I am studying Computer Science (AS Degree) in Texas at a Community College as an international student from Germany.
My current GPA ist 4.0, but I think my GPA at the end of my studies will be around 3.8 and my critical tracking GPA will probably be a 3.7, since I know my teacher in Physics is really hard and I cant really calculate in getting an A in both Physics classes...

I want to enroll in Computer Science (CSC), but I have no clue how competitive the Computer Science Program at UF is.

At the end of my studies I should have around 77 credits (since the College didn't accept foreign credits and I had to start from the beginning -> College Algebra, Trigonometry, etc.)

Would I have to submit my German Abitur? (Evaluated as a High School Diploma equivalent with a GPA of 3.3)

And my next question is, since I know Florida institutions want a second language, I wonder If I can take a test in my mother language (German) to show proficiency in a foreign language. Or would I have to take for example spanish classes here at the college?

What else would they want to see with my application? Only my college transcripts and proof of a foreign language?

Also I want to take an additional semester to boost my GPA if necessary and retake some classes. Does the UF accept replaced grades through retaking a class?

Thank you in advance,
Test90

Nobody? Please, any thoughts?
Will I have decent chances?

If someone could answer only one of my questions I would already be extremly happy :)

I wish I could help you but I have no idea :frowning: haha

Its okay, at least I dont feel that alone anymore  Thank you  (But Im still open for any answers :)

Hi There. I have applied for the CS degree at UF for Fall 2013 and I’ve spoken to the advisors. From my understanding AS degrees will not transfer at all.

Sorry. This is all I know. Good Luck.

Hey
I really appreciate your response, especially that you just joined to answer my question
Thank you!
Yeah, it looks like that I will try next days to change my degree to an AA, hopefully that will work… Even if I just get an AA degree in General Studies with all my critical tracking subjects…

That is the best thing to do. Finish all you AA requirements and your critical tracking courses and you will be a shoe in, I’m sure.
