UF puts out an annual admissions report, which include some interesting statistics.
http://admissions.ufl.edu/flipbooks/2014_Admissions_Report/
It includes stats on freshman, transfer, and graduate/professional admissions.
FYI, if you’re using Microsoft EDGE, you may need to use another web browser to view the report.
Can you repost the correct link?
My favorite stat is…
Florida resident admit rate 44.3% (9,966/22,490)
Non-Florida resident admit rate 43.9% (3,006/6,851)
So you’re sayin’ there’s a chance!
There were 5,5613 male admits. Congrats to all the guys hahahha.
An 18,5298 females applied
Does anyone know if that favors guys this year in the admissions process? With the students favoring female %, will they try and even that out? Or is it equal chance for all?
@JPGator98 I think it is even chances for all. Most colleges in general have a larger percentage of female students and applicants(specifically in the south) so I think maybe females had the better applicant pool. Also, females applying To engineering are more favorable than males and stuff that like.
UF doesn’t consider sex in admissions (or your major).
UF admits more females, because more females apply, and on average they had better stats/ECs. Once accepted, males are more likely to enroll (no clue why).
This is a nationally trend. More females apply to college, attend, and graduate than males.
