I know this question has probably been asked before but I figured I can ask it again :-D. I am currently attending CC in Tampa and I am having trouble between going to FSU or UF (assuming I am accepted). I go up to UF every week because my gf attends school there and I am not a huge fan of how its all farmland with a giant university slapped down and I have always despised the Gators (Noles baby) so the whole orange and blue gator atmosphere turns me off. Gainesville seems extremely boring and bland but I know that their accounting school is ranked #11 (US News) so thats a huge plus. When I visited FSU i thought the campus was ten times better, a nice city with hills and a much more college town feel to it. Plus I felt right at home with the Noles atmosphere but I know their accounting program is ranked much as compared to UF’s. I am having trouble now deciding between the two, is UF’s ranking going to matter in the real world? I am not planning on living and working in FL after college so what should I do? I am basically trying to choose between a nice town with a lower program and a crappy town with a much better program.

Please go to Tallahassee, FSU has a fine program. No need to put up with a boring university in the middle of a corn(?) field.

The ranking (especially between these two schools) is of little concern in the real world. Go where you will be happy. Make good grades. Pass the CPA exam. :)
