UF

Hello I am 21, I have taken some state/community college courses. I am planning on retaking the ACT here soon, and applying to UF as a freshman. Has anyone done this before? I know it seems crazy to give up on past credits, but they don’t allow under 60 credit transfers.

You should check with UF admissions, but I don’t think you can “give up” past credits (and hence apply as a freshman).

One of my friends transferred over from USF to UF with under 60 credits. He had to work his ass off to get in though, had a near-perfect GPA with research experience. He also had to negotiate with UF admissions quite a bit.

So, talk to them first. I’m sure you’ll be able to work something out. You can always apply as a freshman with less than 60 credits coming in. Some of your credits may not transfer over though.
