I was able to get the following Top 10 list out of a friend of my sister's. It is ranked by the number of Undergrads at a specific I-Bank, which I will NOT name even in PM's.

UPenn
Harvard
Princeton
Columbia/Stanford
NYU
Yale
Michigan/Dartmouth
Duke

There is a lot of speculation with regards to "target schools" here, so this might help put all of that to rest.

CAUTIONARY NOTE: These were casual approximations. The guy didn't give any numbers to back this up. So make of this what you will.

Harvard

UPenn

Princeton/Columbia/Stanford

Yale

Dartmouth

Williams

Michigan

MIT

Guys, if you can also ask people you know in the industry for rankings like these, we could compile a comprehensive list of targets.

Undergrad representation for interns at a top tier ib firm that I will be working at this summer (have numbers to back it up, but will not give them out).

1 (tied) UPenn/Indiana
3 Michigan
4 (tied) Harvard/Yale/Northwestern/Duke/NYU/UVA/Boston College

^ I have to say seeing Boston College tied with so many traditional WS feeders is a little surprising…

BC biz. school is legit these days. Pretty much all the big banks recruit there and alot of kids get banking internships/jobs

^ Really? I interned at Bain last summer and will be interning at BarCap this summer, and I’ve never heard of a BC grad working in these firms. Granted, I’m in the UK, but there’s tons of Americans here. The highest numbers are always from Harvard and UPenn, followed by Princeton, Stanford and Columbia. Yale has a decent amount in top-tier consulting and BB IB too, but not as many as you’d expect. The only non-target grad I’ve met was from the University of Illinois, and currently works at MS (again, UK office).

Not sure about the UK, but in the U.S BC places alot of u-grads in top banking firms

^ Well, the first list of schools was supplied to my by a second-year analyst in NYC, so…
