UGA Early Admission?

Hi everyone! I've always used this site as a source of information, so I decided why not make an account. My question is this. I'm a rising senior (c/o 2014), and I'm really considering applying to UGA for early action this fall. I was just wondering if you guys could possibly give some input on the likelihood of me being accepted, denied, or deferred? Thanks in advance!

Unweighted GPA: 4.0
ACT Composite: 30
ACT Writing: 8.0
SAT (not proud of, considering retake): 1630

Just don’t send in your SATs and you will be fine

I mean, can they not see them if I don’t send them? The idea of hiding my scores from colleges has always confused me. lol.

If you send both, they use that test they believe is the higher so it is not an issue. As to whether you can hide the score, it depends. You don’t need to have College Board send it and CB is not going to provide it to anyone without your permission. However, you need to know what your high school puts on your transcript. Many put all your test scores on the transcript sent to colleges. Absent your ordering it sent or your high school putting it on your transcript, it can remain hidden.

Okay, great. I plan to retake it & expect to do much better. As far as my chances as early action, what do you think?

Anyone…?

bump… just having anxiety attacks from all the waiting… no biggie…

Calm down. You will more than likely get in.

I always been told to send in your scores? Well nice gpa but another thing to consider is also rigor(how many AP’s you took)

Well, only one AP class is available at my school before your senior year, AP Language. But besides that, every core class I’ve taken has been Honors/Accelerated, aside from one, Math 3.

Bump…

Dude, calm down. I don’t understand why your so nervous and keep bumping this thing. If you get in great, if you don’t oh well, it’s just one school. People telling you that will or will not get in doesn’t matter because its not our decision, it’s the admissions. Relax!

Sorry, I thought that was the whole point of this section of the forum. My bad.
