I got into UGA Early Action and was admitted to the Honors program this week. I’ve applied for a few outside scholarships, but I’m wondering about what my chances are to get (even a small) merit scholarship from UGA. My test scores and GPA were on the lower side of Honors students, but I nailed the essays and am very involved in my community, which I think helped me. Also, I’m in my school’s most difficult curriculum, which is a big deal at UGA. I know they offer Honors to about 1500 out of their 12,900 admits. That would put me at about the top 12% of the admits, and they say that 14% of students receive merit scholarships. Do they only consider GPA and test scores for scholarships? I have put my scores and GPA on here to give you an idea of where I stand. Any info/advice you have is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
