UGA Honors- should I retake my SAT?

I am currently a junior, and am undecided on whether I should retake my SAT or not. I am really hoping to be auto-accepted into UGA honors next year.

My situation right now:

SAT earlier this year and got a 2190 (710 M, 740 R, 740 W). I think I read that the UGA honors auto-admit only looks at the math+reading so that puts me at a 1450.

My GPA is a 4.0 (with my school’s weight out of 4.0, so no weight added by UGA).

I will have taken 7 AP classes (one of the APs is Calculus BC which i think counts as two) by the end of senior year and one dual-enrollment class (GA tech distance calculus). Also mostly honors classes.

I did extracurriculars (Girl Scouts and clubs) but I don’t think thats considered for auto-admit.

So my question is do you think I have a good chance at auto admit for UGA honors if I apply EA? Or should I retake my SAT to get a better math score (which I thought was my strongest subject b/c im currently in calculus, but SAT is weird)? I REALLY don’t want to retake it if I don’t have to, but I only took it once and I know that generally people take it more than once. I was 15 when I took it (started school early) so I would highlight that on an application, but I don’t think you write anything to be considered for auto-admit. Please let me know what you think!

Your mileage may vary. My SAT superscore was a 2180, but a 1450 R+M combined score (760 R, 690 M). I have 9 APs so far, and will have 13 APs taken total by the end of senior year. With a 3.80 unweighted GPA (non-UGA).

I didn’t get auto-accepted into Honors during the EA selection. Nor did I get in during the regular selection process either. So if you can retake it and are sure that you can get a better R or M score, go for it. Good luck!

I also had a 2190, with a 1480 math+ reading. I had a solid amount of leadership in my ec’s and took 7 AP’s. I was auto-admitted.

I had a 33 ACT but only a 31 combined English and math (34 E and 28 M) with 8 APs and high GPA, was not auto admitted but applied and I was accepted. I think it would be a great idea for you to retake it since you 1st took it when you were 15. I mean it can’t hurt to take it again. Or you could try the ACT too
