Hello. I've been accepted RD to UGA for the Class of 2017. Earlier I was accepted to Valdosta State University (Honors). Valdosta's offering me a lot of scholarship money, but UGA is not. I want to work as an interpreter/translator and am planning on double majoring in Spanish and International Business. If you were in my shoes would you go to the more expensive state flagship university? Or would you opt for the smaller (and more lucrative) regional university?

Assuming I maintain a decent GPA (3.75ish), will employers even care which school I went to? Anyone with advice is welcome to answer! Thanks =)

I went through this same decision (not same schools) and now I totally regret my decision. I chose the school that offered me money just because of the money, and now I regret that decision so much. You should go to the school that you feel like you would enjoy more. If you are a GA resident, you should get HOPE anyways. Good luck in your decision.

P.S. UGA is a pretty notable business school especially for being a public school

Just an aside - if you’re going to translate, you’ll need several languages. Being bilingual in just English and Spanish is so common that it won’t make your language capabilities distinctive.
