These are my top two schools, and after visiting both I don't know which I prefer for my first choice. Can someone help me out with the pros and cons of each? Thank you in advance!!

They’re both incredible institutions. Can you give me more information on your demographics? What’s your major? Career aspirations? What do you like to do? Are you a big sports fan? Do you enjoy arts? I’m assuming you’re a Georgia in-state.

Vanderbilt and UGA are more similar than people would imagine. Both Nashville and Athens are huge music towns.

Let me get some more information! :)

As far as demographics go, I’m a white girl from a big city in Texas (not Georgia in-state).

For a major, I’m not so sure. I always thought I wanted to go into medicine, but recently I’ve seriously thought about being more involved with the arts because that’s what I’m really passionate about. I might keep medicine as a backup, but I THINK my first choice for a major would be something in the arts. Career-wise, I have absolutely no idea. Something in the business side of art (whether its studio art, fashion, music, etc.) would be my dream job, other than that I’m not sure. And yes, I love arts :)

I really like both the social and academic aspects of both schools and I think I would be perfectly happy at both, which makes this decision so much harder! There’s not one specific downside to either school that would make me reconsider.

if you need any more information don’t hesitate to ask!

cstexan, Vanderbilt’s admission rate is so low (under 12%) that there’s little point agonizing over this question until you are in the happy position of being able to choose. Meanwhile, it would be smart to apply to both. If you have excellent credentials then likely Georgia will be a “match” or “safety” school for you. Vanderbilt is essentially a “reach” for all applicants, due to its very low acceptance rate.

Another thing to consider is cost of attendance. If you are a “full pay” student, Vanderbilt will be a lot more expensive than Georgia. If you have financial need and can get accepted, however, Vanderbilt’s FA policies may make it more affordable than Georgia for you.
