UGA's "top programs"

What undergraduate major is UGA really known for(if they have one)? I hear that the business school and some of the social sciences are not great...

The business school is very good. One of the more difficult schools within the university to get into.

From what I've heard, UGA has an outstanding journalism program (they award the Peabodies), an excellent (29th in the nation by USNEWS if I'm not mistaken) undergrad business program, strong ecology/animal science programs, and an emerging genetics/biochem program. Also, its new School for Public and International Affairs seems to be quite strong but has only been on the scene for a few years.

Its Classical Culture/Latin department is second only to Stanford.

Also I just found out its genetics program has already "emerged" and is #3 in the nation for undergrad. I think overall it's much better than popular perception and especially what things like PR believe.
