Anyways, I got 3 D's on my midterms before everything finally clicked for me on the final. I aced it :-/ The A on that took the place of one of the exams (doesn't matter which) and left my class grade at C. Should I retake this class next semester? Actually, while I'm asking, should I retake any of those classes that I got B-'s or C's coughgenchemandphysicscough next year to pull my science gpa way up. I'm really confident that if I were to retake em, I could get A's and it'd bring my science GPA up from a flat 3.0

My university allows me to replace them, and the expense of an extra semester is something I'm willing to forego.

1.) No.
2.) No.
3.) It doesn't matter what your university allows. Medical schools don't replace unless the originals are actually erased from your transcript.

med schools will see both grades but i think on amcas only the old on counts toward your gpa. I don't think any med school will go "oh well he got it the second time around"...that's clearly not showing much...what you should do is take higher level chem/physics courses to make up for it....unless of course you'll end up doing badly in those too which would certainly not help.

Calccobra, I was making fun of the fact that I also got a C in organic (though it was 2nd semester). I guess some people on this board might be too young to remember the old commercials for The Hair Club for Men.

vaportrail, you have a weird brain. So you basically bombed all your midterms and everything just clicked for the final, like presto? That's unheard of for ochem, that is.
