Ugh i dont even know anymore

i have no idea where i want to go. or where i'll get into for that matter.

i have 27 cum gpa, however the reason its so low is due to domestic violence during my freshman and sophomore years. currently (im a senior) i have a 3.5.
I also have a learning disability only related to math
act: 27 math: 23 science: 24 english: 31 writing: 31
sat:1900
cr: 710
wr: 680
math: 510

Im looking at:
UIUC
Miami
Mizzou
TU
IU

and thats pretty much all i've looked at...I have no idea where else to even look!!! help me!

I want to major in political science also and study abroad and have a school with some spirit and a greek life.
Nice campus atmosphere too, somewhere im not going to die of boredom for four years
I'm thinking bigger schools. idk though.

What can your family afford to pay?

you could look at UA or Auburn in alabama…nice campuses, lots of school spirit and about 30-35% greek.

there is also uab, but it is only about 6% greek, has an urban campus (all together but not old buildings type place) and their football team isnt very good  also about 10K cheaper than UA or auburn. different vibe though and not like the other schools on your list

Which Miami? Which TU? Which IU? What is your home state?

University of miami
University of texas, austin
University of indiana

my home state in missouri.

my family says they’ll pay for whatever, but i dont want to burden them with a heavy cost, so idk.

Try to get a number from them. $5,000, $10,000, $60,000, whatever. You do not want to be back here in April asking how to find a place your family can afford. You need this information now. There can be a huge difference in the costs of attending a home state public U, and going out of state.

UT (not TU) admission is heavily weighted toward class rank. it will also cost you ~$50K/year as an OOS student.

my school doesnt rank

their willing to pay 30,000

30K per year? you may have to look at instate or schools that will give you some merit… UT is 50k per year, IU will be about 42k+ per year if oos,
