ugh, this is horrible. advice?

i got my bio SATs today, and i did 20 points worse than i did last time. a 700 to a 680. and a 700 really wasn't that good. that day was kinda bad for me. i thought i was doing well .. but that's besides the point. anyway, like everyone else on here, i want to go to a good college. ivy leagues, top 20. here's where i'm at, what do i have to do in order to reach my goal?

where do i have to improve?

also, i'm interested in science, but i'm also interested in becoming a lawyer in the future. i was wondering if there were any extra curriculars that could give me experience that would convey my interest?

You're a sophomore now?

Worry about your grades more than SAT/ACT. Worry about those next year.

ah. junior year is the hardest. i want to do really well on at least one this year. i'm handling my work load alright :/ straight A's with a lot of free time to do extra curriculars and stuff.

Your accomplishments many 'top 20' seniors away. And you are a sophmore.

Get good grades, work some on the test scores(but don't obsess, don't stress), and you are in.

Get leadership positions in those clubs as time goes on.

But sorry, you have won national awards as a sophmore. We have gotten kids into Northwestern, Cornell, and ND (as far as anyone usually looks at my school) with out national awards by senior year. So really, don't worry that much. Keep doing what you are doing, and you will get to choose where you want to go, not the colleges.

wow, thanks so much DSC.
that makes me feel better [: althoguh i still feel like i should do more.
although idk. i wish i knew what i wanted to major in so i could work towards that.

"...i wish i knew what i wanted to major in so i could work towards that..."

You aren't supposed to have your life figured out while in your teens.

If you don't mind sharing, what did you invent?

If the OP didn't mind sharing, she would've stated what she invented rather than referring to it obliquely.

wow...OP u are scaring me! I am a sophmore too, and my ecs arent nearly as amazing as urs! Looks like we 2010'ers have all got tons of competition within the next couple years!

I think you should be very proud and keep working hard!

dntw8up, don't colleges like to see experience in a specific interest though? that's what i'm a little worried about.

and lol, my invention. it's kinda silly. i actually started it in elementary school as part of a project requirement and it became really successful from there i guess. :P

and hardworker, thanks =]
and we definitely do have a lot of competition >.<
