UIL as Extracurricular or as Awards?

I’ve won numerous awards in UIL, and I don’t think I have enough room to add it as an extracurricular in Common App. So, do you think it’s okay if I simply add my UIL awards in the “awards” section? I don’t know whether it would be better to add it as an extracurricular or as an award.
