I got in business school for both.
I would like to major in accounting & finance, but I am really not sure which one would be the better choice.
UIUC’s accounting program is good, but BU’s location gives more opportunities for internship stuff (but it is more expensive).
I really want to know which school would be better for accounting/finance major
please tell me which one you think its better and the reason
I am really struggling right now …
Thank you so much!!!
Also, if I would like to transfer next year, which school would be a better choice for now?
More urban location does not mean more opportunity. That is a myth. Companies do not recruit down the block, they recruit nationally. Considering its size and strength across multiple disciplines, it is likely that companies recruit at UIUC than at BU. UIUC has a stronger accounting department and costs less. Unless you really don’t want to go there, I think UIUC is a better option.
Thank you so much for your suggestion!!!
I do want to go to UIUC, but people around me keep saying that BU is also a good choice, so that’s why I hesitate a bit.
I don’t know anything about BU business, but my daughter is a sophomore at UIUC CoB. The Business Career Services is wonderful in my opinion. She has a fantastic internship lined up for the summer! This link may provide some helpful information.
Thank you so much for your comment!
I like UIUC better, but people around me always tell me that BU’s business school is better. Hearing about your daughter’s internship opportunity makes me less worry about what people told me about UIUC.
I am so nervous about deciding which college to go to because I have lived in the states only for almost four years and still don’t know much about college stuff here. I really wish I can make the right choice for myself.
Thank you again!!
Thank you for your comment!! I have a question about accounting major. I am admitted to business school with undeclared major. Am I able to major in accounting easily?
